  • August 18, 2007 Annual Bowling for Scholars.  Fun for the entire family.  A small
    donation entitles you to unlimited bowling, shoes, and snacks.  First 25 children
    receive a backpack complements of the National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc.,
    Southern Maryland Chapter.


  • September 18, 2007Community Health Day.  Free health screenings and information
    about health-care issues that affect people of color.  Cosponsors include the National
    Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc., Southern Maryland Chapter, Citi-bank,
    CVS/Pharmacy, and Planned Parenthood Washington.


  • November 18, 2007 Official launch date of the planned P.G. County Domestic
    Violence Coalition and presentation of the second annual Angela Renay Ray
    Domestic Violence Advocate Award.  

       Selection criteria and nomination guidelines for the Angela Renay Ray Domestic         
       Violence Advocate Award will be published not later than July 30, 2007.  Selection   
       will  be announced by October 15, 2007 and presentation will be made on November
       18, 2007.
